My dad uses a C-PAP machine. He has a full beard, and finding a mask that worked for him was a long process. He finally settled on one that just sits barely over his nose. Once he got used to the machine, he was sleeping better than he did as a teenager. The first night, he slept for 12 hours! We almost flipped a coin to see who would go in to check if he was still alive.

Keep an eye out on eBay for different types of masks. That's how Dad figured out which one he liked. Or see if your doctor has a person on staff who specializes in fitting you for the C-PAP. They can probably let you try some different designs. I just don't want you to give up. You will be amazed by how great you feel once you start getting restful sleep. You can do it!

Ironically, my mom is the one who snores now. Daddy is too busy sleeping to notice. :)

Dear god, you ate enough raw cookie dough in college to have killed 6 people from eggs! I know, because I usually split the tube with you! I hope Sarah feels better and sounds like Tony was smart to just want the oreo.

Tony is 3. We also had the specialist tell us to just wait. We have seen significant straightening since birth, but also about a 2.5 cm discrepancy between his left and his right left leg. He no has a couple pairs of shoes that have a 2 cm lift built into the sole.
He's never shown any developmental issues because of it. He hit all the milestones...turning over, scooting, crawling and walking pretty on time. Earlier, his running didn't seem effected, but as the discrepancy became more, he started having a strange stride where his straight leg would swing out some. Thats about when we got the lift. His running in them is more "normal" but without, he still swings the straight leg out.
We are just waiting till he gets older...teenager...and we will have the procedure to correct the difference.
Don't know if this helps. His leg never slows him down. Most people don't notice...of course we do...and he ask questions sometimes...but all in all, it is not a character defining thing.
If you have any questions or find out some more information, please let me know.

Hi- I just found your blog through my online searches of posteromedial bowing. My son is almost 11 months old and we're going next week for another follow-up appt with the doctor. How old is your son now? And was he delayed at all in pulling up and walking? The first doctor we went to when my son was 2 weeks old told us it would straighten on its own and there was nothing we could do, that we would have to deal with it when he was a teenager. The second doctor we took him to was a little more encouraging, but again told us there was nothing to be done and it would straighten on its own. Well it has straightened quite a bit, but he hasn't been interested in crawling, can't pull up even though he wants to because he can't get proper footing. He stands well but compensates by bending his other knee. I'm wondering how I know if/when we need additional opinions because the doctors seem so unsure of this condition.
