History

Did my water break…

So my wife thought her water broke…and I tried not to laugh in her face. She was so disappointed though, so I felt bad for laughing…inside.

I did look up different way to naturally induce labor. Now, Sarah, they say not to try these before 40 weeks, cause the baby and your body knows best, [...]

I love the e-mail updates…

Before I start…I have to say that I never new they went away…Sock Monkeys…

Anyway. I love the updates I get from a few sites about the development of the baby. They all give approximate weight and length, but then they differ slightly in the rest of the information they send. Here’s a few things [...]

Packing for the coast…

Here’s a list of “What to Pack”from Nina. She is due right on top of our due date…It’s in the water.

The following is a list of things that I found helpful when I was in the hospital delivering Sydney, and things that after the fact – looking back I wish people would have told [...]

Why I Do This…

If you have read this site before, you know I have a 7 year old. He is every bit “my son”, and I love him with all my heart. Sarah and I are very lucky that we have had no complications with Tony. Jack was the third attempt at a child for my ex-wife and [...]

every doctor is different

My ex-wife worked for the OB/GYN clinic that delivered Jack. Her cousin was one of the other doctors in this practice. If you are using a OB who is a part of this type of practice, know that he may not be the one who delivers. Usually, about the 3rd trimester, you will start seeing [...]

Second Hand Smoke and Wine…what’s up?

It never fails, If we are out and Sarah decides to have a glass of wine, the eyebrows raise. She bought a bottle a few weeks ago and got the eye from a few folks.

I went to a concert in Atlanta, Cinetrope, who rocked, by the way, and saw a woman, probably in the [...]

um…so how does that happen?

As a man, there are things about womanhood that are either magical or we take for granted…depending of the man and his point of view. I find pregnancy magical. How in the hell does all that happen? I found this article about breast milk production. I read it. It still is magical to me. I [...]

The Nasty…

Doin’ it. The ole bump and grind. The horizontal tango. Playing the piano. Making whoopee. Whatever you call it, if you have a child, you have had sex. There are volumes of books on sex, which last I checked, causes pregnancy, but sex during pregnancy is usually just a comic note. Dane Cook, talks about [...]

Activities

It’s really easy to do nothing. When Sarah’s uncomfortable, it’s so freakin’ hot outside, and we are alittle on the broke side, it’s easy to sit at the house and watch nothing on TV. (Now, Supernanny is another story.) I got an email today:

“Hey, can we talk tonight. I’m feeling antsy”

Then it dawned [...]

the 50th percentile…That’s an “F”…

After the Ultrasound, we talked with the doctor.

“Everything looks great. It couldn’t look much better. The baby is head down, which doesn’t really matter right now, but he has to be some way, and that’s the best way to be. He is exactly in the 50th percentile for weight, which puts him on track [...]
